Nebraska Extension is poised to assist all Nebraskans to become better acquainted with their food system and to work with communities across the state to embark on building a food system that meets the needs of everyone.

The Winter Wheat Works Initiative is a local Nebraska Extension effort led by Nathan Mueller, Nebraska Extension Cropping Systems Educator for Saline, Jefferson, and Gage counties that encourages and supports growers in eastern and south central Nebraska to move from a corn-soybean rotation to a successful flex-rotation where some winter wheat acres are considered each year and strategically integrated into their cropping system.
