Jennifer Hansen serves as a 4-H & Youth Development Extension Educator for Nebraska Extension, working in Thurston and Burt Counties, with an office located in Pender, Nebraska. She has served as an Extension Educator since September 2009. Prior to this role, Jennifer spent four years as an Extension Assistant in Cuming County. Her professional focus areas include College and Career Pathways and STEM education.
Jennifer was raised on her family’s diversified agricultural farm near Scribner, Nebraska, and is the oldest of five daughters. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a dual major in Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics. She also holds a Master of Science degree from UNL in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications, with an emphasis in Teaching and Extension.
Jennifer and her husband live and farm south of Pender, where they are raising their three children. In her spare time, she enjoys helping on the farm, gardening, cooking, running, and reading.
