Jamie Bright

Jamie is the Rural Prosperity Nebraska Extension Educator in the Southern Panhandle (covering Kimball, Banner, Scotts Bluff, Cheyenne, Morrill, Deuel, and Garden Counties). She has roots in Sheridan County, but has lived in Kimball County since 2010 and values living in rural Nebraska near family. She holds a Master's Degree in Applied Science through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a specialization in Community Development. She has professional experience in customer service, research, editing, marketing, training, and technology support from her varied background working in insurance, the library field, the nonprofit sector, education, and owning her own business. She uses engagement to make an impact in the areas of community leadership development, people attraction/placemaking, community economic development, and regional food systems.
