Steve Melvin
My work focuses on teaching farmers and others involved in crop production how to conserve irrigation water, effectively manage their irrigation equipment, and how water stress at different growth stages effects yield.
One of my biggest passions in life is to learn about a topic that I am interested in, understand it at a deep level, develop what I consider the best methods to follow, and then teach it to others. I feel blessed to be able to apply that passion to production agriculture for my professional career, specifically focusing on Irrigated Cropping Systems for the past 15 years.
