I am a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe from Pine Ridge Reservation. I received my B.A. in English at Nebraska Wesleyan University and my M.A. in American Indian Studies at the University of Arizona with my research in Native language preservation and revitalization in the public-school systems in urban areas. I am the Extension Educator for the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where we offer several programs such as the Hoop of Learning Program, a college bridge program for Lincoln Public Schools Indigenous high school students and the Food Sovereignty Program, a program that promotes Indigenous food pathways and sovereignty for Indigenous high school students attending Lincoln Public Schools.
