I have a background in social work, broad experience in poverty study, and expertise in program evaluation and research methods. My research focuses on advancing knowledge about the links among poverty, parenting, coparenting relations, father involvement, and child health and development. I have been conducting a series of evaluative research for Co-Parenting for Successful Kids and poverty simulations; and I am currently developing pilot programs for teen parents, incarcerated fathers, and socioeconomically disadvantaged families. Another line of research and programming involves health literacy and health disparities of immigrant families with children.
