The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Extension is a division of the University of Nebraska System, which includes the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, University of Nebraska–Omaha, University of Nebraska–Kearney and University of Nebraska Medical Center. Nebraska Extension, directly connects with more than 1.2M Nebraskans, annually. Extension’s 4-H program serves 470,000 students, students who attend Nebraska public and private K-12 schools. More than 300 faculty with a Masters or PhD. are located statewide in three research and extension centers (Mead, North Platte and Scottsbluff) and 83 county offices. Nebraska Extension provides educational programs in animal science, engineering, biological systems engineering, family and consumer sciences, food, nutrition and health, horticulture, youth and 4-H, and disaster education.
